I now help people around the world just like you to find a safe, best fit clinic and navigate fertility treatment in Europe. And since 2019 I have helped 100s of people around the world to make informed decisions that are right for them and to have fertility treatment in Europe and achieve their dreams of starting or expanding their families.
As we ease into November, many of us in the fertility community start feeling the pull to step back, to put plans on hold and simply enjoy the holiday season and occasions like Christmas and Thanksgiving. It’s natural to want to press pause, promising to pick things back up in January. After all, the end of the year is often seen as a time to recharge and take a break from the ongoing demands of trying to conceive.
However, in the world of fertility treatments and planning, waiting until January can sometimes bring unexpected delays and frustration when there is a rush at fertility clinics and high demand for medical consultations. If you’re planning to start or continue your fertility journey in the first quarter of 2025, now would be a great time to set yourself up for success. Here’s why taking even small steps forward now, rather than waiting until the new year, could make a big difference for you.
Four Reasons Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Take Your Next Step in IVF & Fertility Treatment
In January, many people are ready and raring to go with consultations, treatments, and planning. This influx often leads to longer wait times for consultations at fertility clinics, which can range from several weeks. This wait can be frustrating, especially when you’re feeling ready to move forward.
Instead, consider starting now. By scheduling consultations or making initial plans in November or December, you’ll be ahead of the crowd, ensuring a smoother start in January if that’s what you decide. Taking these steps now can help keep things on your own timeline and ease the sense of waiting in limbo.
If you’re on the fence about taking any action, ask yourself: What’s the next step I need to make progress? Is it finding out if a specific treatment is right for you? Ruling out or confirming the option of going abroad? Exploring options and gathering information now can provide clarity and allow you to plan with more confidence and peace. Big steps or small steps there is still time to make your next move.
There’s still plenty of time before Christmas to do some groundwork. For example, you could reach out to clinics, set up consultations, or simply get your questions answered. Maybe it's even time to settle on a clinic, create a treatment plan, or gather information on medications so that when January arrives, you're ready to go.
Managing the Highs & Lows During the Holidays
The holiday season can be incredibly challenging emotionally, especially when you’re managing the ups and downs of fertility treatments. By moving forward now—whether with baby steps or larger strides—you’ll enter the festive season with a sense of progress and clarity. Knowing that you’ve laid the groundwork can help ease some of the emotional weight, allowing you to feel more at peace and better able to enjoy the holiday season.
And if you prefer to break for the holidays? Setting up your plans now allows you to pause without feeling like you’re in limbo, knowing you’ll be able to hit the ground running when the time is right.
